Everyone's a Winner with
Will Aid
The last Will Aid campaign, in November 2006, was a record
beater thanks in large part to fantastic media coverage. If
your paper, radio station or TV programme managed to publicise
Will Aid, then you will have helped raise awareness of the
campaign – so thank you.
Over 40,000 people responded to extensive publicity and enquired
about the scheme, and those who went on to make a Will raised
an enormous amount of money for the nine Will Aid charities,
Donations are still being received and the final figure raised
will be published in the spring.
But the Will Aid success story does not end there. Over £5.2m
was pledged in legacies to the Will Aid charities and this
will help ensure that their vital work can continue to help
future generations. And all of this was achieved in just a
few weeks.
Will Aid takes place again in the autumn of 2008 and we will
need the maximum possible publicity to make the campaign even
bigger and better so that more people make their Wills under
the scheme and more funds are raised for vital charity work.
